Disney turning Matterhorn ride into a movie
Pirates Of The Caribbean proved that theme park rides could be turned into massively profitable franchises (at least if Johnny Depp’s involved).
Which explains why Pirates producers Walt Disney are looking to turn even more of their rides into movies.
Jon Favreau already has Magic Kingdom on the horizon, while Guillermo del Toro is producing The Haunted Mansion. Now Disney is fixing its ambitions on its popular Matterhorn ride.
I think Futurama was probably the first show that I became an avid fan of after Daria, to the point where I can watch my growing DVD collection daily without being bored.
Clearly I’ve been watching them so much that I noticed Fry had sung Walking on Sunshine on multiple episodes, or at least I had a hunch that he did. So with a little bit of research to clear any confusion, I found this awesome fan site/wiki and the details [my thoughts in brackets[]:
“Walking on Sunshine” is a song performed by Katrina and the Waves and released in 1985. On Futurama, the song remains a favourite of Philip J. Fry’s, despite only knowing the line “I’m walking on sunshine”, after which he hums the rest. [LOL]
Four times have we seen Fry sing the song, three of which were in the shower. He even taught the song to his dog, Seymour Asses, back in (or sometime after) 1997, whom could bark the tune of the song (4ACV07). When Fry died in a dream sequence, it was performed at his funeral by Scruffy on bagpipes (4ACV12). Later, he uses it as a ring tone for his mobile phone (ItWGY)” -The infosphere.org
Haha.. I love this show.

Remember that tricked out British double-decker for Baby, Scary, Ginger, Posh, Sporty, (Meatloaf) and Co. in the movie Spice World? So this bus concept isn’t as Girl Power-friendly , but it looks equally awesome, and carries 7 people you better like enough to be trapped with for hundreds or thousands of miles! Hopefully you’ll be a girl group or boy band. Click through for more pics at psipunk.com.
Great ride. A bit tame to modern thrill-ride standards but epic on the creativity and overall fun scale.

This song just randomly appeared in my head. So of course, I have to post to let you enjoy.
